Miami Beach Health Foundation provides support for Miami
Beach Community Health Center,
a Federally Qualified Community Health Center comprised of five (5) health
centers including a center for students at Miami Beach Senior High
School.
MIAMI BEACH HEALTH FOUNDATION, Inc. provides awareness and funding for Miami Beach Community Health Center, Inc. and other related entities to allow those in need of healthcare services in Miami Beach and the surrounding area to receive the care they deserve and need. The centers provide a full-range of health care services, including primary, behavioral health, dental, and specialty care, OB/GYN, prenatal, and pediatric services, and other health related services, including health education. In 2008, the centers provided 93,467 visits to 22,752 patients, including 89% of which were 150% and below the Federal Poverty Level.
Miami Beach Health Foundation also supports the efforts of other health related entities in South Florida. This support is provided through direct support and donations provided by the foundation and via efforts by Miami Beach Community Health Center.
What is the organizational structure of the foundation?
The Foundation is comprised of a Board of
Directors, Board Committees, Founding Board Members, Honorary Members, Advisory
Board Members, Members of the Foundation, and staff of the Foundation.
What is the composition of the Board of Directors?
The Board of Directors is comprised of
volunteer Directors, all of whom have a vote, and one non-voting Director, the
CEO/Executive Director of the Foundation. The Board of Directors is
comprised of specially selected and nominated individuals in the community
representing various businesses and organizations.
